◆ Attractiveness of Sword Fittings
The author, Mr. Shigeo Hiraji, explains his collection of Japanese sword fittings in the book "Sword fittngs + Kozuka, Menuki, Kougai, and Fuchigashira" which was released in July 2022, showing the actual items.
We introduce Japanese sword armors (Kozuka, Menuki, Kougai, and Fuchigashira) by period and genre on MENOME channel. This short movie covers sword mounts made by a number of independent workshops, known as machibori 町彫, set up during the Edo period in the capital and the main urban centers such as Kyôto.
