京都の南北の通りである浄福寺通を南の端（浄福寺通と竹屋町通の交差点）から北の端（浄福寺通と船岡南通の交差点）まで自転車で走った車載動画です。

This is an in-car video of me cycling along Jofukuji-dori, the north-south street in Kyoto, from the south end (the intersection of Jofukuji-dori and Takeyamachi-dori) to the north end (the intersection of Jofukuji-dori and Funaoka Minami-dori).
Along the way, we will provide information on Kyoto from a local perspective, so please take a look.

In this video, we will take you through the streets of Kyoto,
which are said to be shaped like a checkerboard.
I ride my bike (and walk where I can't) at a leisurely pace.
I hope to be able to show you around the city along the way.

浄福寺通
北は船岡南通から南は竹屋町通をつなぐ南北の通り。
#26坊城通でご紹介した坊城通は浄福寺通が南に延長された通りとなる。
通りには名前のとおり浄福寺と言う浄土宗のお寺がある。
通りのほとんどが住宅地だが北部は京町家がたくさん残るエリアとなっている。
また通り沿いには京都特有の「ろおじ」がたくさん残っており、
それぞれの「ろおじ」には名前が付けられている。

Jofukuji-dori
A north-south street that connects Funaoka Minami-dori in the north and Takeyamachi-dori in the south.
Bojo-dori, introduced in #26 Bojo-dori, is an extension of Jofukuji-dori to the south.
As the name suggests, there is a Jodo sect temple called Jofukuji.
Most of the streets are residential, but the northern part is an area where many Kyoto townhouses remain.
Also, along the street there are many ``Rooji'' unique to Kyoto.
Each ``Rooji'' has a name.
