5月に京都一乗寺に在る詩仙堂に行ってきました。
青葉を抜ける風がとても心地よく、清々しい気持ちで庭園を拝見させていただきました。

Shisendo in Kyoto is located in a very quiet area.
At this time of year, the Shisen-do Hall is beautiful with green foliage and the occasional breeze makes you feel refreshed, while the beautiful Japanese garden soothes the soul.
The beautiful garden of Shisen-do, where the gardener [Ishikawa Jozan] made his final home with a Zen spirit, will make you lose track of time...

As it is a very popular place, I recommend going on a weekday morning. (The garden opens at 9am)

●Shisen-do
Shisendo, where the Chinese poet Ishikawa Jozan (1583-1672) spent the last years of his life, is a quiet place surrounded by nature and offers seasonal views.

In spring, you can see satsuki (Japanese azalea) and blue maples, in summer hanashobu (Japanese honeysuckle) and myoga shoots, in autumn silvergrass and sycamore, and in winter, serene snowy landscapes.

The autumn colours throughout the garden are even more exceptional. The Jōzan Kōzo's deer-reciting chanting also echoes through the tranquil garden, creating a uniquely Japanese atmosphere.
