I took my friend on her first ever backpacking trip and she was an incredible trooper. We hiked a total of 40 miles with around 7,500 feet of elevation gain over the course of 3 days and 3 nights.

This backpacking route through Yosemite National Park took us from Glacier Point, through the Panorama Trail, Illilouette Creek, the Mist Trail, Little Yosemite Creek, to the summit of Half Dome, and back again.

If you want to see all that Yosemite has to offer, we highly recommend backpacking through the wilderness. While driving out through the other side of the park, we were already planning our next trip to see different areas.
