2022年の三千院の紅葉です。
11月半ばころの撮影だったと思います。
大原地区は三千院はじめ寂光院や実光院、宝泉院等美しい寺院が多く、
大原地区だけでも、京都の秋を十分に堪能できる場所です。



Sanzen temple consists of a large complex, made of different temple buildings, moss garden, Ojo Gokuraku-in main Hall, Enn-yu zo treasure House and a variety of walking paths around the temple grounds and gardens. Exploring around the complex can easily take over an hour and can be a pleasant Zen experience. This as due to its location, it sees fewer visitors than other important temples in Kyoto.

A visit to the temple starts at Goten-mon gate, where entrance tickets can be purchased together with a handy map. Visitors are then welcomed by a special Sakura tree, before proceeding to the Kyukuden Guest Hall. Here a variety of calligraphy is displayed, the hall opens to the viewing deck for the Yusei-en moss garden, it's a good place to take a moment and take in the peaceful atmosphere.

Proceeding further is the Ojo Gokuraku-in main Hall, here is the statue of the Amida Buddha together with two guardians. This is the most sacred part of the temple but open to anyone. The main hall also has different viewing balconies for the surrounding garden and pond.
