Boundaries are the rules you set in relationships. Someone with healthy boundaries can have fulfilling relationships while still setting limits.
Boundaries are how you know to act differently with a teacher or a boss than you would with your best friend. They guide you to act formally versus casually, open versus closed, or when to say “no” instead of “yes.” When someone has healthy boundaries, they can balance these two sides.
