At Home with James Bailey – Brewing without Scales or a Pourover Kettle

No scales, no pourover kettle – not necessarily a problem.

Brewing with scales allows for absolute accuracy and, as a result, consistency each time your brew. Likewise, enlisting a pourover kettle provides the precision required to get the most out of your coffee. We therefore always recommend using both wherever possible.

However, there are times and circumstances in which all the required equipment might not be to hand. By beginning with great ingredients, grinding fresh and using a few of the tips shared by James in this video, you can still enjoy brilliant cups of coffee.
