"What does Pound-For-Pound Mean?

When it comes it MMA, it’s hard to say who the better fighter is because when skills are similar, the size of each fighter is an important variable.

So to better compare fighting ability, pundits use the term Pound-For-Pound to compare 2 fighters’ skills if they competed at the same weight class.

This allows us to rank UFC fighters of different weights by their skills, strengths, weaknesses and fight IQs in an isolated manner,

giving us a better idea of how a fighter like Alexander Volkanovski compares to a fighter like Jon Jones.

It of course sparks a ton of debate over who would beat who or who is actually better but that answers
