I believe learning English (or anything else actually!) should not be about objectives, but about the process.

Why should you look at learning as a process?

It's more sustainable in the long-run. Whenever you set yourself objectives, your motivation drops after you've reached them - it's a natural thing that happens. Viewing learning as a process helps you to keep your motivation over longer periods of time and makes learning more enjoyable, because there is no pressure involved. Learning itself is the most important motivation you have. In short, you win by learning!
