Hello, for lone wanderers who love cats, cooking and ordinary days in Japan.

Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island are both beautiful islands located in the Yaeyama Islands of Okinawa Prefecture.

This was my first time, so it was a quick trip.

1) Ishigaki Island is the central island of the Yaeyama Islands and is a base for tourism and business. :
● Natural beauty: It has beautiful beaches and coral reefs such as Kabira Bay and Yonehara Beach.
● Culture and history: There are also many spots where you can learn about history and culture, such as the Ishigaki Island Limestone Cave and the Ishigaki City Yaeyama Museum.
● Access: There is New Ishigaki Airport, so it is easily accessible from both domestic and international destinations.

2) Taketomi Island is a small island located about 10 minutes by high-speed boat from Ishigaki Island. :
● Traditional townscape: You can enjoy the old-fashioned Okinawan scenery with red-tiled houses and white coral sand roads.
● Tourist attractions: It is dotted with beautiful beaches and scenic spots such as Kondoi Beach, Kaiji Beach (Star Sand Beach), and Nishi Pier.
●Quiet environment: The low population makes for a quiet and relaxing environment.
